When Words Are Just Not Enough ...

We all know Lindsey has a beautiful gift with words; she is understandably having difficulty expressing them at this time.  They are thankful for all of their wonderful family and friends who have risen up and showered their family with support.  They would say thank you for all the prayers and messages.  Your support has meant more to them than some will ever know.

Holden was a fighter.  So are Lindsey and Trent.  Their job has been to care for Holden, night and day, while loving his every breath.  Now their job will be to figure out how to move on, to find peace with Holden's passing over. To know he's in a much better place, happy, free of pain, free of feeling sick all the time. He's whole and with God. In the meantime, Lindsey and Trent are still here on this earth without  Holden. It's going to be a difficult walk, more difficult than anyone ever imagined.  They will need our prayer's for a while longer to help hold them up under their precious loss.  Please keep the prayer's going for Lindsey and Trent.  Holden will always be forever young.  May he rest in peace and remain a part of all those he has touched.  His memory will be forever treasured.

  2. Lindsey and Family, you are all in my prayers and even though I never received the honor of meeting or knowing little Holden personally, he has made a huge impact on my life, just knowing of the strength he had to fight his battle as long as he fought. I pray for peace and healing for your broken hearts. Your family and Holden's story has truly touched me and so many others.

  3. Amen. Holden was a small child with a huge impact on all of us. Even though he wasn't with us very long, he changed many people's perceptions- of the precious gift of health, of how connected we all are, of the benefits of prayer, of how important it is to love those people we really do love while we have the chance.
    Most of the people that I know that prayed for Holden didn't even know the family. Just because they didn't know Holden, Lindsey or Trent didn't keep them from saying a prayer, following Holden's journey, & expressing their grief in his passing today.
    Prayers for Lindsey & Trent, and all the family will be on my lips many times a day- every time God brings them to my mind.
    Thank you for putting an update on the blog. I have sort of been addicted to this for quite some time now- since Lindsey first started it, in fact.

  5. I never had the opportunity of meeting Holden, I simply stumbled across this blog and have been following it for just a couple of days. But in that short amount of time, I found myself connected and hopeful for Holden. A precious gift from God. I have prayed and will continue to pray for you all. His story and fight has touched my heart in so many ways. May we all, friends, family, and strangers lift this family up in prayer. Ask the lord to wrap his healing hands around their hearts. And let us all never forget the fight this little man put up, and unknowingly, showed us all how to cherish and love the life we are given and every single person apart of it.

  6. Lindsey and Trent~

    There are no words to express how sad and so sorry I am. His little body is perfect now, but I know it is your hearts that are now broken. It was an incredible honor to be part of his life and to watch the immense love and care you both gave him. I didn't get to see it often, (because I probably wasn't a favorite visitor!) but his sweet smile will forever be a precious memory for me. I pray for God's immeasurable peace and comfort for you and the family.

  7. I am so sorry for your loss. I have never met Holden or your sweet family but I have closely followed this blog since last fall and have prayed & prayed for you all. Thank you for sharing your journey with others and I hope it brings you some comfort that your precious little boy has touched so many - even people whom he has never met.

    I will continue to pray for your family and may the Lord bring you comfort and peace.

  8. Lindsey & Trent;
    We are friends of your Grandmothers, we have kept up with the life of your sweet son through your Grandmother and your web. I feel in my heart so sad for your family. Holden was a God sent treasure for you all to hold and cherish for a short while, Holden let you know what real love and caring is all about. You will always hold his memories in your hearts. Little Holden now plays at Jesus' feet happy and free from pain. Our prayers have been with you through all of this and we will continue our prayers for your family. May God Bless you all and bring your family peace. MaryAnn & James Ivy
